Where the money went — without connecting your bank.

isna does not touch your bank account. Expenses are entered, or they come from recurring bills. That means some manual work and, in exchange, zero access to your finances.

Many currencies, and history that stays put

An expense in euros stores the amount, the currency and the exchange rate on the day it happened. Last year's report reads the same after the rate moves. That is a decision which is almost impossible to fix afterwards, so it is built in from day one.

Splits

Equally, by percentage or by exact amounts. Rounding is handled so that the shares always add back to the total — €100 across three people is 33.34 + 33.33 + 33.33, never 99.99.

Categories and budgets

Categories in a hierarchy, budgets monthly or yearly, per category or per person, with progress and a projection of whether you will overshoot by the end of the period.

Recurring bills

Electricity, nursery, rent, internet. They either post themselves, or wait for you to enter the real amount when the bill arrives — you choose per bill.

Subscriptions

A separate review that leads with the yearly figure, because a pile of small monthly charges never looks like money until it is multiplied by twelve. The year-on-year comparison counts only subscriptions that existed back then, so signing up for something new does not read as a price rise. Paused and cancelled ones stay on the list but drop out of the money.
